The article is about the history of the Confederacy in this country and how it affects today’s politics. Your response basically bolsters its argument.

However, just for the record, there’s absolutely no truth in what you’ve stated. On your first point, Democrats are on record for wanting to strengthen borders — just not with a ridiculous, expensive, and ineffective border wall.

On your second point, it’s not clear what you’re trying to say about immigrants and voting. It’s either that too many black and brown legal immigrants are becoming citizens and voting — which is racist — or that illegal immigrants are voting in some massive wave of voter fraud. The latter is a Republican lie that’s been debunked over and over again. Facts matter.
